DIY Craft Parties

A make-and-create birthday in Dearborn where kids build, paint, and design projects they are proud to take home.

About This Party

Create, Paint, and Take It Home

The craft party is built for kids who love to make things. At the Dearborn studio, your guests move through a series of guided craft projects, choosing colors, patterns and finishes that make each piece their own. From painting to building to decorating, there is something for every young maker.

It tends to suit the birthday child who would rather be absorbed in making something than put on the spot. Guests work through the same project side by side, so nobody waits a turn and nobody is left out, and each one goes home with a finished piece they made themselves, which also makes it a nice fit for School events looking for a calm, inclusive activity.

What You Will Make

Craft Stations

A craft party here runs as stations rather than one long sit-down, so guests move at their own pace and nobody waits on the slowest step. Six run at once: paint a mini canvas, design a fabric tote, color a suncatcher, shape an air-dry clay keepsake, paint a wooden name sign, and pack a sticker and slime bag. Each finishes inside the session, so every child leaves holding something complete rather than a project that ran out of time.

The Quick Facts

Artistic ability is not the point here. Each station is pitched so a four-year-old and a ten-year-old can both walk away with something finished, which is why parties with a wide age spread — siblings, cousins, a whole class — tend to run the smoothest.

Every Great Craft Party Starts with Great Ideas

Start with what they like making. Canvas painting keeps a quieter group absorbed for the full session, slime is for the ones who want their hands in it, and build-and-take projects hold up when the guest list spans a few school years. Every material is included in the booking, so nothing needs sourcing beforehand and nothing comes home to be cleaned up.

The rest takes about ten minutes to settle. Groups of eight to fourteen sit best in the craft room, invitations are worth sending two or three weeks ahead, and any allergies mentioned at booking let us swap materials before the day. Weekend slots fill first, so it is worth holding a provisional date early.
